On demand webinar: Payroll and Reward Brunch – March 2022

Date:24 March 2022
Duration:1 hour
Location:On demand

The Statutory Sick Pay Rebate Scheme closes on 17 March 2022, with the requirement for all claims to be made by 24 March 2022. This is an important date, as it marks the end of all powers that exist under the Coronavirus Act 2020 which falls away at midnight. The day before (the 23rd), the UK Chancellor of the Exchequer’s delivers his Spring Statement which is why we are bringing forward the date of the March Payroll and Reward Brunch to the 24th.

As well as these considerations and knock-on implications, we are fast approaching the end of one tax year and the start of another, which looks to be an eventful one. So, please join Ian Holloway for our March Payroll and Reward Brunch where he’ll be looking at…

– Looking at the implications of the end of powers under the Coronavirus Act 2020
– Filling in all the pieces of the puzzle to ensure professionals are aware of the complete legislative picture for the new tax year
– Discussing considerations for ending tax year 2021/22
– Looking at need-to-know information to start tax year 2022/23, PLUS
– An overview of the UK Chancellor of the Exchequer’s Spring Statement as it affects payroll and reward professionals

It appears we have been drip-fed information this year like no other. Our Brunch consolidates all of this, ensuring you are aware of what has changed and, perhaps more importantly, what has not changed. I would also very much like to gauge professionals’ opinions on HMRC’s request we use the payslip messaging facility to convey a UK Government policy announcement.

Our Brunches aim to provide help and content for payroll and reward professionals whilst ensuring they are equipped with the latest information to start the new tax year with confidence.
